AVIMES actions are mainly based on data collection and teachers’ training.

Data concern:

bullet

Learners’ socio-cultural status.

bullet

Formal pupils’ evaluation of 1st and 2nd semester.

bullet

Learners’ results (assessed though objective evaluation tests and standardised tests in Italian and Mathematics).

bullet

Perception about the functioning and effectiveness of the school on the part of parents, pupils, teachers, school's heads.

Staff development activities are    varied and conducted with different methodologies: research and piloting,  lectures by experts, international seminars, working groups.

The various phases of dealing with data – collection, analysis, feedback,  - are always accompanied by formative activities for school-heads and groups of teachers.
